Joseph and Patricia Corcoran of Abington, and Gene and Eileen Handel of Warminster announce the engagement of their children, Pateen Corcoran and Heath Handel.

Pateen is a graduate of Boston College, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French. She also holds a Master of Education degree in elementary education from the University of Pennsylvania. Pateen is a seventh-grade language-arts teacher.

Heath graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. He is employed by the Bucks County-area Agency of Aging.

Sharing in their happiness is Heath's grandmother, Elsie Rachlin of Warminster.

The couple is planning a 2006 wedding in Gwynedd.
