Carol and Stuart Dershaw of Huntingdon Valley; Carol and Joe Bassetti; and Grace and Victor Katz of Cheltenham announce the engagement of their children, Samantha Leigh Dershaw and Jason Scott Katz.

Samantha is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality administration. She works for Aramark.

Jason graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. A teacher at Colonial Elementary School, he is pursuing a master's degree in education.

Sharing in their excitement are Samantha's grandparents Lynne and Ray Mazer of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Leonard and the late Corinne Dershaw of Willow Grove.

Jason is the grandson of Sylvia Lisman and the late Edward Lisman of Davie, Fla., and Bertha Katz and the late Max Katz of Delray Beach, Fla.

The couple is planning a July wedding.
