Judith and Alan Workman of Wynnewood, and Susan and Donald Rudnick of Dartmouth, Mass., announce the engagement of their children, Eric Bruce Workman and Brooke Leigh Rudnick.

Eric graduated from Lower Merion High School and Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned dual degrees in business and engineering. He is employed by the Susquehanna International Group in Manhattan.

Brooke, a graduate of Moses Brown High School in Providence, R.I., also graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in liberal arts. A teacher in New York City, she is working toward a master's degree in special education at Hunter College.

Eric is the grandson of Beatrice and Marvin Levinthal, and the late Ethel and Barnett Workman. Brooke is the granddaughter of Barbara Samuels and the late Eli Samuels, and Lorraine Rudnick and the late Edward Rudnick.

The couple is planning a May wedding in Newport, R.I.
