Allan and Louise Baumholtz of Philadelphia announce the engagement of their son, Dr. Michael A. Baumholtz, to Melissa D. Hannon, daughter of Wayne E. Hannon and Dorothy A. Hannon of Burnham, Pa.

Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing and Immaculata University in Philadelphia.

Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College, and M.S. and M.D. degrees from Jefferson Medical College. He is a fellow in hand surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Michael will be a fellow in plastic and reconstructive surgery next year at University of Texas, San Antonio.

The couple, who lives in Texas, is planning a June wedding in Dallastown, Pa.
