Dayle Rosenzweig and Carl Shotz of Bala Cynwyd, and Allan and Susan Abolafia of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., announce the engagement of their son, Mich- ael Abolafia, to Amy Steinberg, daughter of Helene Steinberg of Reisterstown, Md., and Steve Steinberg of Owings Mills, Md.

Amy graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. She is a marketing and communications associate for Haverford College.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He is a marketing manager for Advanta Bank Corp.

Amy is the granddaughter of Bettye and Norman Steinberg of Pikesville, Md.; and Harold Framm and the late Ida Framm of Baltimore, Md. Michael is the grandson of Harvey and Yvette Rosenzweig of Westbury, N.Y.; Shirley Abolafia and the late Eli Abolafia of Coconut Creek, Fla.; and the late Rose and Frank Shotz of Philadelphia.

The couple is planning a November 2006 wedding.
