Barbara and David Goodman of Wynnewood, and Sabira and Yusuf Javeri of Charlotte, N.C., announce the engagement of their children, Samuel Jason Batt and Rubina Catherine Javeri. Sam is the son of the late William Batt.

Sam graduated with highest honors from Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business logistics with a minor in information sciences and technology.

Rubina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Penn State University after serving as student-body president her senior year.

Sam and Rubina are consultants working for Accenture in the Philadelphia office.

The couple, who lives in Center City, is planning a spring 2006 wedding.
