Frances Marion Cooper Zissman, 99, a medical coder and office manager, died April 19.
A graduate of Kensington High School, Zissman was a homemaker for many years before returning to the workforce first as the office manager at Hart Auto Supply, Inc., and then as a medical coding expert and medical office administrator.
She served as the medical coder of the Tumor Registry at Einstein Southern (Daroff Division); then at Einstein Northern Division as the office manager for the Neurology Group; and then as the medical coding director of the Moss Rehabilitation Hospital.
In her retirement, Zissman volunteered at Oxford Circle Jewish Community Center, where her Cooper Family Torah was housed and has since closed.
She served as the administrative assistant to the rabbi for the OCJCC conversion classes and became a Bat Mitzvah at age 73.
Zissman is survived by daughters Barbara Gerber and Joyce Sokolic; son Edward Zissman; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 50 years, Aaron Zissman, died in 1986.
