Danielle and Richard Blum of Warrington, Pa., and Margate, N.J.; and Mr. and Mrs. Vlad Galperin of Holland, Pa., announce the engagement of their children, Andrew David Blum and Lauren Michelle Galperin.  

 

Andrew is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. He currently is working as a licensed and certified real estate appraiser.

 

Lauren is a graduate of the  Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, where she earned a doctorate  in pharmacy. She is a licensed pharmacist currently  working at Rite Aid.

 

Sharing in the couple’s happiness is Andrew’s brother, Jared.

 

Andrew is the grandson of Harriet Zimmerman of Huntingdon Valley; Jerry and Anita Feldman of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; and Patricia Blum and the late Paul (Connie ) Blum of Philadelphia. Lauren is the granddaughter of Mary Galper­in and the late Moisey Galperin, and Fay Fiks and the late Sam Fiks.

 

The couple began their relationship at Council Rock South High School. They share a passion for traveling and making friends.

 

The couple is planning a June wedding.
