Israeli artist Sharon Binder will be speaking and exhibiting some of her creative work at AJ on Thursday evening, December 12. The program will begin at 7:30 PM, following evening services which begin at 7:00 PM. Her program at AJ will center on a subject that she has been developing since participating in an exhibit on the theme of “Housewives and Heroines” in Jerusalem. She created an accordion pleated book tracing her mother and aunt’s emigration to the United States in 1936 from Munkazc, Czechoslovakia. As a further exploration of the legacy of preceding generations, she has been creating a series of cylinder type receptacles for ethical wills she is preparing for each of her children.
