High Holidays with the Narberth Havurah
The Narberth Havurah provides open-hearted Jewish engagement for individuals on their own spiritual path and for families looking for a meaningful Jewish connection. The following is a listing of services for the Havurah’s Days of Awe.
EREV ROSH HASHANAH Services begin at St. John’s Church located at 404 Levering Mill Road in Bala Cynwyd, PA on Wednesday, September 4, with a youth service at 6:00pm and regular service at 7:00pm. ROSH HASHANAH Services begin Thursday, September 5 at Shortridge Memorial Park located at Shortridge Drive between Remington Road & E. Wynnewood Road in Wynnewood, PA with a youth service at 10:00am and regular service at 10:30am. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and a picnic lunch for after the service. KOL NIDRE/YOM KIPPUR (and Shabbat) Services begin at St. John’s Church on Friday, September 13 with a youth service at 6:00pm and an adult service at 7:00pm. YOM KIPPUR Service begins at St. John’s Church on Saturday morning September 14 at 10:00am with youth service and 10:30am adult service. This unique service meets with a panel of speakers and engages in group participation. Saturday afternoon continues at St. John’s Church with Yizkor at 5:30pm, Martyrology Service at 6:00pm, Closing Service at 6:20pm, and Potluck Break Fast at 7:00pm.
For non-members, a donation of $70 per family or $40 per individual is suggested to attend High Holiday services. Checks should be mailed to The Narberth Havurah, PO Box 65, Narberth, PA 19072.
