Franklin Jules Axe, age 89, passed away on March 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna Jarris Axe, cherished father and father-in-law of Geoffrey (Teresa), Judith (Mark Fitterman) and Kenneth (Ann), proud grandfather of Jennifer Axe and Rebecca AxeRosa (Abad Rosa), Elissa, Daniel and Charlotte Fitterman, and Kevin and Eleanor Axe, great grandfather of Emily Axe Rosa. He was the dear brother of the late Norman (Beverly), and the late Sandra Caplan (the late Martin), brother in law of Shirley Radoff (the late Marvin), and valued uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Franklin grew up in Philadelphia and earned degrees from Temple University, and, after serving in the Navy in World War II, the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He joined the family retail business and later taught at Trenton State (now The College of New Jersey). In retirement he remained active in groups such as Retired Executives and Professionals (REAP), and the P.G. Wodehouse Society. He remembered every birthday, marriage, anniversary, and birth of family and friends with original poems that revealed a kind, intelligent and loving heart. He brightened the lives of all those with who he came in contact, and will be missed by us all. A memorial service will be held on August 4, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Ann's Choice, 20000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
