Louis S. Rosenthal, 78, a stockbroker and investment counselor, died June 28 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was a resident of Rydal.
A native of Baltimore, Rosenthal earned a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
He joined the brokerage firm of Gerstley Sunstein & Co. in 1959, which later became Prudential Securities, and is now Wachovia Securities.
Rosenthal served on the boards of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and Congregation Rodeph Shalom.
He was also a member of the Philmont Country Club.
Rosenthal is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte Greenberg; daughter Susan Hopfan; son Ed Rosenthal; sisters Laurie Stoelting and Nancy Shrier; brother Edward S. Rosenthal; and four grandchildren.
