The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on a resolution that condemns the decision by the University and College Union of the United Kingdom to call for an academic boycott of Israel, according to U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-District 8)
Just last month, Murphy introduced House Resolution 467, which calls on the international community to reject the boycott.
According to Murphy spokesman Adam Abrahms, on June 26 the resolution passed unanimously out of the House Foreign Relations Committee.
Abrahms also said that it may come up for a vote on the House floor as early as July 11, and he expects it to pass.
Murphy said that, " ... this Congress will stand up and defend our friend Israel."
