Cindy and Mickey Barson of Richboro, and Harlee and Billy Schwartz of Holland, Pa., announce the engagement of their children, Alyssa Rochelle Barson and Neal Scott Schwartz.

Alyssa, a graduate of West Chester University, is a merchandise allocator at the corporate headquarters of the Burlington Coat Factory in Burlington, N.J.

After attending the University of Hartford, Neal is employed as president of Bricks Management Co., and a real estate entrepreneur in Philadelphia.

Alyssa is the granddaughter of Laura Kaplan and the late Robert Kaplan of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; and the late Charles and Irene Barson of Philadelphia. Neal is the grandson of Doris Mandel and the late Lou Mandel, and Norman Fisher of Philadelphia; and Carl and Helen Schwartz of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Sharing in the couple's happiness are Alyssa's brother, Joshua, and sister Stacey, along with Neal's brother, Robert.

The couple is planning a spring 2013 wedding.
