Linda and Edward Scherling of Jackson, N.J., and Irene and Raymond Turner of London, England, announce the engagement of their children, Lori Ellen Scherling and Andrew Simon Turner.
Lori is a graduate of West Chester University, where she earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Music degrees in music education. She is the host and creator of "The Milk & Cookies Show," a weekly children's show at MilkBoy Coffee in Bryn Mawr and Ardmore. Lori also works with private music students in the Philadelphia region, and teaches "Music, Ima & Me" at Aish HaTorah in Bala Cynwyd and "Music Monkey Movement" at Nurture in Ardmore.
Andrew is a graduate of Manchester University in England, where he graduated with honors in joint mathematics and physics. He is a senior audit manager at JPMorgan Chase, and director and chairman of the board of trustees of Azafady, a charity committed to the eradication of poverty, suffering and environmental damage in Madagascar.
Lori is the granddaughter of the late Ida and Max Jaffy, and the late Sylvia and Irving Scherling. Andrew is the grandson of the late Ada and Abraham Walters, and Annie and Reuben Turner.
The couple is planning an October wedding.
