Eileen and Garry Fuld of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Plymouth Meeting, and Lynn and H. Joseph Smith of Wescosville, Pa., announce the engagement of their children, Dr. Kimberly Beth Fuld and Dr. Ryan Joseph Smith.
Kimberly is a cum laude graduate of Franklin & Marshall College with a degree in neuroscience. She earned a medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a residency in pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University/A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del. Kimberly is currently completing a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.
Ryan graduated cum laude from Franklin & Marshall College with degrees in biology and government. He earned a medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University Medical College in Hershey, Pa. He completed a radiology residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident, followed by an abdominal imaging fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Ryan is a board-certified radiologist on staff at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Kimberly is the granddaughter of Ruth S. Gross and the late Richard G. Gross, and the late Carol and Kurt Fuld. Ryan is the grandson of Hilda Demko and the late William Jacob Demko II, and the late Catherine M. and Charles E. Smith.
The couple is planning a spring 2011 wedding in Philadelphia.
