Philly Women to Advocate in D.C.

Marcy Bacine, Sue Panitch and Jill Zipin, co-chairs of the 2013 Women’s Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., invite women interested in such public policy priorities as gun violence, violence against women, the elderly and Israel to join them on Tuesday, March 19.

The Women’s Philanthropy affinity of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is joining forces with Women of Vision, the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Greater Philadelphia, for an intensive day of lobbying and meetings with United States senators and members of the Women’s Caucus.

A special program highlight is an anticipated audience with Valerie Jarrett, the senior adviser to U.S. President Barack Obama and the chair of the White House Council on Women and Girls.

The cost is $150 per person and includes round-trip bus transportation from Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley and meals throughout the day. The bus will leave promptly at

7 a.m. and is scheduled to return to the synagogue at approximately 7:30 p.m.
