In commemoration of Simchat Torah, fifth-graders from Perelman Jewish Day School in Melrose Park participated in an intergenerational program with members of KleinLife in Northeast Philadelphia. They celebrated the holiday by reading the Torah and joining together in prayers, stories and songs. Shelley Geltzer, director of adult services at KleinLife, and Rabbi Chaim Gelfand, fifth-grade instructor at Perelman, coordinated the event.
