It is nice every once in a while to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and take a moment to sit back and relax with that certain someone. Kick up your heels and enjoy a weekend away in a romantic cabin retreat.

Come to Milton, Fla., in the state's northwest section -- close to Pensacola and Panama City -- to find the perfect romantic getaway and, conversely, sports activity. Here sits Adventures Unlimited, an outdoors outfitter that caters to adventurists as well as love-sick couples in need of some alone time.

What kind of adventure? Here in this small city located in Santa Rosa County -- and it was once known as Scratch Ankle! -- c offers canoeing, tubing, kayaking and camping, as well as a chance to explore Blackwater River State Forest.

Stay in the Granny Peaden's cottage. Watch the flames flicker in the fireplace as you enjoy a wonderful meal prepared in the cabin's full kitchen. This romantic site features hardwood floors, period pieces and even an adorable white picket fence.

It has enough room to hold up to six people, but also has space to get away from everyone. Or maybe you'd like to sneak away from the family and enjoy some alone time on the back porch that overlooks Wolfe Creek.

But then there's the most romantic of options. Is it just the two of you?

Maybe you would prefer the Tupelo. This two-person romantic cabin has one bedroom and is located on the beautiful Coldwater Creek. It comes with a gas fireplace, a screened porch with a spectacular view of the creek, and a full-size bathroom with garden tub -- perfect for bubble baths!

Those who prefer the views of Wolfe Creek should choose from the Laurel, Magnolia and Osprey Cottages. These romantic cabins have fireplaces to cozy up in front of and screened-in back porches to enjoy the evening sunset. All three overlook Wolfe Creek.

There are several other more romantic cabins from which to choose.

Check them out for yourself -- as well as additional things to do in Milton, and, yes, there are other things to do in the small city of some 8,000 -- by visiting: Adventures Unlimited.com.
