Len and Irene Friedrich of Mount Laurel, N.J.; and Steven and Charlene Oberman of Boynton Beach, Fla., announce the engagement of their children, Jason Friedrich and Alyssa Oberman.

Jason, a graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and a Juris Doctor degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Jason is an attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of the Philadelphia-based law firm Drinker, Biddle and Reath LLP, as well as an adjunct professor at George Washington University.

Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University. She is the senior director of human resources at United Therapeutics Corporation, a biotech company based in Silver Spring, Md.

The couple is planning a November wedding at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase, Md.
