Liz and David Nover of Doylestown Township announce the marriage of their daughter, Amanda, to Alex Barbag, son of Candy and Harvey Barbag of Boca Raton, Fla., on Sept. 3.
Amanda is the granddaughter of Barbara and Ed Zinbarg and Jackie and Jack Nover. Alex is the grandson of Mildred Jacobs.
Amanda is a graduate of Tufts University and earned a master’s degree in public administration from The George Washington University. She is the director of special events for Food & Friends in Washington, D.C.
Alex is a graduate of the University of Florida and earned an additional degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. He is a software engineer for Marriott International and a stand-up comedian, making a YouTube web series, Safe For Work.
Rabbi Josh Beraha of Temple Micah of Washington, D.C., and the bride’s friend, Cantor Laura Stein, officiated at the wedding at the Capitol View Rooftop. Joining the couple under the huppah were siblings Lori Nover, Adam Barbag and Keith Barbag, along with Amanda and Alex’s lifelong friends Rebecca Douglas, Dagny von Ahrens, Liz Chou, Sam Cohen and Adam Isaacs.
