Chelle and Norman Levine of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Ann and Ira Brand of Manalapan, N.J., announce the engagement of their children, Lauren Yvette Levine and Shawn Adam Brand.

Lauren graduated as a Muhlenberg Scholar with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Muhlenberg College. She is currently a third-year student pursuing a DMD from the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University.

Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He was awarded a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is currently in practice in Cherry Hill.

Sharing in the couple's joy are siblings Jerry Levine and Jenn Brand, as well as grandmother Rita Kemler.

Lauren is the granddaughter of the late Sylvia and Jack Zucker of Voorhees, N.J., and Doris and Herman Levine of Lower Merion. Shawn is the grandson of the late Murray Kemler of Manalapan, N.J., and Selma and Irving Brand of New York City.

The couple is planning a July wedding.
