As I was looking through your March 5 edition, I came upon an article about how family stories shape service. Both of my parents, Sgt. Rose Blum and PFC Benjamin Blum, served in the Marine Corps in World War II. My father was a radioman who worked with a Navajo Code Talker, none other than Bill (Willie) Toledo, mentioned in the penultimate paragraph. What a coincidence!
