Elise and Gary Kaplan of Plymouth Meeting and Ruth and Larry Berland of Woodbury, N.Y., announce the engagement of their children, Melissa Lauren Kaplan and Michael Andrew Berland.Melissa graduated cum laude from Muhlenberg College and Villanova Law School. She works as a deputy attorney general for the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office in the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
Michael has a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Michigan. He was a Palmer Scholar at the Wharton School of Business, where he received his MBA, and works as a consultant for PwC.
Sharing in the couple’s happiness are sisters Andrea Kaplan and Alyssa Berland, their grandmothers, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The couple got engaged in Ventnor, N.J., and plan to marry in June 2018 in Philadelphia, where they reside.
