KAHAN

 

Theodore (Ted) Kahan passed away peacefully on March 31, 2013 after a long life of over 100 years. A 1935 graduate of the Univ. of Chicago and retired chemist, formerly of Phila.,he had lived in Akron since August 2003. He was a member of Beth El Congregation and an Associate Life member of Hadassah.  His hobbies included tennis, bridge, and competing in the Sr. Olympics, where he earned 40 medals. He loved to dance.

He is survived by his children: Daniel(Trudy) and Nancy (Mel) Mermelstein; grandchildren Robyn(Michael) Eberst and Michael (Rhonda Tyger) Mermelstein; and great-grandchildren Abagail Lewis and Marisol DiFeo.

Funeral service were held in Akron, Ohio. Please send condolences to Nancy Mermelstein at 1785 Brookwood Drive,
