From Jan. 25 to 28, 17 members of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Joshua Society visited Havana, Cuba to learn about the Cuban Jewish Community and to bring needed medical and survival supplies. The group was led by Mission Chairs and Joshua Society Co-Chairs Karen and Neil Model. They were joined by Penni and Mark Blaskey; Don Berg; Dave Gold; Jill and Chip Kurtzman; Sara and Jay Minkoff; Lori Rosenberg; and Sherrie and Bill Spiegel, along with Sandy Katz of the Joint Distribution Committee, and Jewish Federation team members Rachel Gross and Steve Rosenberg. The group left inspired by the incredible commitment to Jewish life and the community.
