Is Peace Possible?

The Friends of the Arava Institute will welcome Gershon Baskin for a discussion on his views on the possiblity of peace and his new book The Negotiator: Freeing Gilad Shalit From Hamas. 
 
Baskin's topic will be: "Is Israeli Palesinian Peace Possible? Challenges, Obstacles and Hopes." 
 
Dr. Baskin is well known for facilitating the release of Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. He is a leading Israeli scholar and peace activist, who serves as an advisor for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
 
Dr. Baskin will be available prior to the discussion for a book signing. 
 
Proceeds from the evening will support the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies offers a life-changing academic program that brings students together using environmental study as a shared goal. At the Arava Institute students learn the essential skills required for becoming future environmental leaders.
