Sir Patrick Stewart joins Israeli acting veterans Sasson Gabai and Moni Moshonov in this crowd-pleasing crime comedy, involving three elderly men and a young teenager who decide to rob a Jerusalem bank. The teen, Yonatan, is a boy genius and socially awkward. After the boy’s father dies unexpectedly, Yonatan reconnects with his estranged grandfather in an old-age home. There, he meets two other elderly men, all of whom are strapped for cash: hilarity ensues. Touted as one of Israel’s best films of the year, Hunting Elephants has been winning laughs at film festivals across the globe. No doubt, a remarkable cast and a classic caper storyline make for some of the most entertaining bilingual schtick of 2013.
