Bruce Goldberg and Terri Hartman of Penn Valley announce the engagement of their son, Benjamin Levi Goldberg, to Daniel Adam Olson, son of Kevin and Amy Olson of Cranston, R.I.
Ben is a graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and Jewish studies. He is in his final year of rabbinical school at the Jewish Theological Seminary, and serves as the rabbi of Beth El Synagogue in Woodbury, Ct.
Daniel is a graduate of Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. He is completing a Ph.D in education and Jewish studies from New York University, and plans a career in inclusion work for Jews with disabilities.
Ben is a grandson of Isadore Goldberg and the late Henrietta Goldberg; Elinor and Steve Goldman; and Fonda and the late Oscar Hartman. Daniel is a grandson of the late Wayne and Rosemary Olson and the late Harold and Helen Silverberg.
Sharing in the couple’s happiness are their siblings Cantor Ethan Goldberg and Cantor Shoshi Rosenbaum; Sarah Goldberg; and Shira Olson, along with many other friends and relatives.
The couple lives in New York and plans a June 2018 wedding in Philadelphia.
