Pamela Gofberg of Philadelphia and Lisa Bluen of Sherman Oaks, Calif., are thrilled to announce the engagement of their children, Marissa Gofberg to Benjamin Bluen, son of the late Jeffrey Bluen.
Marissa is a graduate of the former Akiba Hebrew Academy. She received her master’s degree in social work from Temple University. Marissa is employed as a licensed clinical social worker at Penn Medicine.
Benjamin is a graduate of the University of California–San Diego and the Technion Faculty Medical School. He completed his residency and is employed by Hahnemann University Hospital. He will finish an infectious disease training program in June 2018.
Marissa is the granddaughter of the late Loretta and Walter Gofberg. Benjamin is the grandson of Millie Siegel, the late Sidney Siegel, and the late Naomi and Klaus Bluen. Sharing in the couple’s happiness are Benjamin’s older brother, Joel, and fiancé Chelsey, as well as his younger brother, Steven.
The couple is planning a June 2018 wedding in Philadelphia.
