Adrian and Bart Jaffe of Newtown announce the engagement of their son, Lane Ian Jaffe, to Lauren Christine Gatter, daughter of Christine and Charles Gatter of Richboro.

Lane is a graduate of Coun­cil Rock High School North. He is employed as an emergency vehicle upfitter.

Lauren is a graduate of Coun­cil Rock High School North and the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. She is in her last semester at Gwynedd Mercy College pursuing a nursing degree. Lauren is an emergency room technician at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Sharing in the couple's happiness are Lane's grandparents Norma and Ted Pansky, and Aaron Jaffe; Lauren's grandmother Doloras Joyce; and siblings Morgan Jaffe, Nicholas (Kristina) Joyce and Michael Gatter.

The couple is planning a fall 2014 wedding.
