Galler-Brenner

Marissa Haley Brenner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brenner of Hazleton, and Brian Scott Galler, son of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Galler of Jericho, N.Y., were married Aug. 23 at an evening ceremony and reception at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia.

Rabbi Daniel Aronson officiated.

Sarah Hasker served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Galler, sister of the groom; Kristi Kheiralla; and Elizabeth Berry. Amanda Reiss and Zary Peretz were junior bridesmaids.

Brett Harris served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey Brenner, brother of the bride; Aaron Hochman-Zimmerman; and Andrew Federman.

Aaron Hochman-Zimmerman and Zary Peretz witnessed the signing of the ketubah.

After a honeymoon at Liku Liku Resort in Fiji, the couple lives in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Marissa, a graduate of Hazleton Area High School, earned a diploma in nursing from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in nursing with a focus as an adult health nurse practitioner at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Marissa is a critical-care registered nurse in the intensive-care unit at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, and an advanced medical-surgical clinical instructor at the Frankford Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia.

Brett, a graduate of Half Hollow Hills High School West in Dix Hills, N.Y., holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. He is in his third year of an internal-medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Beginning in July, Brian will be pursuing a cardiology fellowship at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Mich.
