Shirley Roffman (left), a resident of the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life, and Cynthia Best, the center's horticulture and pet therapist, plant seeds under the watchful eye of Josh Jacobs-Velde, a rabbinic intern with the center's Martha Stern Memorial Rabbinic Internship Program. Residents also celebrated the holiday by participating in a Tu B'Shevat seder, eating fruits that grow in Israel, and singing songs about trees and the earth.
