Merle and David Kramer of Huntingdon Valley announce the engagement of their son, Joshua Ian, to Nicole Friedman, daughter of Sharon and Jeffrey Friedman of Watchung, N.J.

 

Joshua, a graduate of Northeast High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware. He is currently on the technical staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, Mass.

 

A graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren, N.J., Nicole earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from the University of Delaware. She also holds a master’s degree in special education from Rutgers University. Nicole is currently an eighth-grade special education teacher in Hillsborough, N.J.

 

Sharing in the couple’s joy are Joshua’s brother, Seth, and his sister, Lauren; and Nicole’s brother, Daniel.

 

Joshua is the grandson of Beatrice Nemeroff and the late Samuel Nemeroff, and Philip and Sylvia Kramer. Nicole is the granddaughter of Ann and Da­vid Kantrowitz.

 

The couple, who lives in Branchburg, N.J., is planning an August 2013 wedding.
