Frieda Herskovitz, Longtime Psychologist

Frieda Schreiber Herskovitz, who practiced family and individual therapy for more than 30 years, died Sept. 26.

She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where she earned a master's degree in psychology, and then earned an Ed.D. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Herskovitz is survived by sons Richard Herskovitz, Barton Herskovitz and Marshall Herskovitz; sister Marciene Mattleman; and five grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Herskovitz, and sister Vivian Schloss.
