Festival of Arts, Books and Culture

November 11, 2012 10:00 AM-November 18, 2012 9:30 AM

Long considered one of the best book events in the region, the Bank of America Festival of Arts, Books and Culture, held at Katz JCC, has once again put together a lineup of "A-List" Jewish authors who will read from and discuss their most recent works.

Starting off the festivities on Nov. 11 is Samuel L. Popkin, who will consider "The Candidate: What It Takes to Win and Hold the White House." Uniquely qualified to explain the machinery of presidential campaigns and reveal what separates successful candidates from losers, Professor Popkin is expected to give a riveting account of what goes on in a campaign and what makes one succeed while another fails.

Following the professor will be such star authors as Delia Ephron, Stuart Eizenstat, Kati Marton and Carrie Fisher.

True to its title there will be accompanying art works to view, entertainment by a standup comic and a chance to meet hot local authors like Lisa Zeidner.
