Volunteers For Israel May Meeting

May 19, 2015 7:00 PM

The Philadelphia Region of  VOLUNTEERS FOR ISRAEL (VFI) will host its quarterly meeting on TUESDAY, MAY 19, from 7-9 pm at the Gratz College Library in Melrose Park, PA.

The featured SPEAKER will be DAN WEBB of Warrington, PA who is one of only eight people in the country who owns and wears REWALK, a robotic exoskeleton invented in Israel by a graduate of the Technion.

Webb became a paraplegic five years ago when he was injured in a fall.  He will describe how miraculous Israeli technology has enabled him to stand and walk again.

The public is invited to meet DAN WEBB and LINDA RICHMAN, Regional Director of the American Society for Technion, and to hear how VFI enables volunteers 17 and older to work with Israelis on IDF logistics bases.

VFI's mission is to connect Americans with Israel.  Since 1982, VFI has helped relieve Israel's manpower and economic burden by STANDING WITH ISRAEL. IN ISRAEL.

The event is FREE and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
