The mission of Volunteers for Israel is to connect Americans to Israel through volunteer service. We achieve this by partnering with military and civilian organizations in Israel that enable American volunteers ages 17 and up to live and work

Volunteers For Israel January Meeting

January 27, 2015 7:00 PM

The Philadelphia Region of VOLUNTEERS FOR ISRAEL (VFI) will host its quarterly meeting on TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, from 7-9 pm at the Gratz College Library in Melrose Park, PA.

The featured guest will be HON. ELAD STROHMAYER, Deputy Consul General of the General Consulate of Israel to the Mid-Atlantic Region. He will speak about Israel's upcoming election and what it might mean to Israel's future.

Mr. Strohmayer assumed his current position in 2012, after serving as the Deputy Chief of Mission in Israel's Embassy in Luanda, Angola. He is a native of Bat-Yam and a graduate of Hebrew University.

The event is FREE and open to the public.

The public is invited to hear Elad Stroohmayer, meet VFI  alumni, and learn about VFI's unique program, which enables volunteers 17 and older to show support for Israel by working on IDF logistics bases. VFI's mission is to connect Americans with Israel.  Since 1982, Volunteers have helped relieve Israel's manpower and economic burden.

Refreshments will be served.
