For Seniors

The Klein Center City Senior Program will host its weekly event from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Jewish Community Services Building, 2100 Arch St., Philadelphia. 
 
The senior program is sponsored by the Klein JCC, in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Friends of Stiffel and the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging.
  • Open the morning with coffee, tea and munchies while schmoozing with friends. 
  • Meet with Angela Geiger, RN, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for blood pressure screenings and more.
  • Chair exercise or current events classes are slated for 9:30 a.m.

Rabbi Beth Janus will lead a 10:30 a.m. Kabbalat Shabbat service, followed by a hot kosher lunch from Betty the Caterer. The menu will feature: chicken noodle soup; oven fried chicken; brussel spouts; baked potato; challah roll; and Jewish apple cake.

Jewish Exponent executive editor Lisa Hostein will present “Understanding the News From Israel.”
