Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Denenberg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Beth, to Jordan Alex Bettman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bettman.

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. She also holds a master's degree in public relations and corporate communication from New York University.

Jordan is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and labor relations. He is employed by Bain Capital of Boston.

Lauren and Jordan met in Australia during a study-abroad program.

The couple, who lives in Boston, is planning a November wedding in New York City.
