David M. Cohn, 77, Chief Executive Officer of Sage Financial, Dies
David M. Cohn, 77, chief executive officer of Sage Financial Group, died Oct. 8. He was a resident of Blue Bell, Pa.
Cohn co-founded Sage with his two sons, Alan and Stephen. Sage has received widespread recognition for its wealth management expertise and numerous accolades, including citations from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, Money, CNBC, Smart Money, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Business Journal.
In 1995, with his two sons, Cohn co-founded Sage Online, a leading Internet-based investment research firm. In March 2000, Multex, a global provider of investment information for the financial services industry, acquired Sage Online.
Prior to co-founding Sage, Cohn was senior executive vice president of international management consulting firm Decision Sciences Corporation, where his clients included E.I. DuPont, Corning and 3M Corporation. He consulted firms on strategic and marketing planning issues.
Cohn earned a bachelor’s in business administration from Drexel University, and an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Maryland.
In addition to his two sons, Cohn is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Harriet, and seven grandchildren.
