In 2009, we came together as a community to embark on a new journey, a journey of spiritual faith and holiness. Darkaynu draws our members from all over the region, including Northeast Philadelphia, Bensalem, New Hope, Roxborough, Manayunk, Norristown and northern Chester County. We came together from our individual journeys in life and Judaism to be part of a holy path that we continue to create together. Our core values of Derech Eretz (respect for others) and Tikun Olam (repair of the world) guide our interactions as a community.
It is a fundamental value of Judaism that we are all created in the image of the Divine. We treat each other with respect, caring and compassion. On our journey through life, our mission is to bring holiness into the world through acts of Tikun Olam. Darkaynu is not an end in and of itself, but a means to transform ourselves, our community, and our world by how we live each day. We support and encourage each other in our journeys of faith as we travel this path together. We seek to awaken our spiritual sides with dynamic and creative religious experiences and to create a new paradigm for the future.
We welcome all who are interested in becoming part of our community. Let us create Our Path - Darkaynu - together.
Darkaynu's mission is to prepare a place for God in the world, thereby transforming our selves, our community and the world. We do this through tikun olam- repair of the world, and Derech Eretz - treating each other with respect, caring and compassion.
