Checking out the success of "Charity Day" at Meadowlands Country Club (from left) are Carole Greenberg, board member and event co-chair; Ira Berkowitz, the club general manager; Ellen Donohoe, vice president of Advancement at Melmark in Berwyn, Pa.; Jill Talus Grossman, the club vice president and event co-chair.

The Meadowlands Country Club raised $29,000 from a golf outing, dinner and an auction at this year's "Charity Day," which will go to the Adult Autism Community at Melmark, home of the Chris Maurer Vocational Program. This program provides training and opportunities for young men and women with autism to integrate into general society.

Double-downing on their commitment, the country club asked one of the young adults in the program to work in tandem with its golf personnel during the summer.
