Rachael (nee Luken) and Eric Carp of Swarthmore announce the birth of their son, Benjamin David, on Feb. 20.

Sharing in their joy are grandparents Susan and Ellis Luken, and Beverly and Alvin Carp.

Joining in welcoming the baby are aunts and uncles Donna and Evan Davis, Steve and Heidi Carp, Brian and Laney Carp, and Jackie and Michael Schwartz; as well as cousins Morgan, Melanie, Halle, Alexa, Rachel, Max, Seth and Sammy.

Benjamin David is named in loving memory of his paternal great-grandmother Beatrice Lipson and dear family friend Deborah Mittelman, daughter of Rabbi Harold and Elyse Waintrup.
