Bible Scholar Speaks

 “Meet Your (Real) Ancestors: A Look at the Surprising Beliefs and Practices of the Ancient Israelites,” will be the topic of a talk Elsie Stern, Ph.D., associate professor of Bible at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, at Kehilat HaNahar.

Noted for her rigorous yet lively educational approach, Stern has taught in both academic and community settings in the United States and abroad.  With a  BA from Yale and a doctorate from the University of Chicago, Dr. Stern is the author of several scholarly works and a contributor to the Jewish Study Bible and the Women’s Torah Commentary (2008).

Admission  is $15, payable at the door. Students with ID will be admitted free of charge.
