Beth Cravitz Manusov, 35, a certified public accountant and volunteer who was an advocate for the cure against breast cancer, died March 19 at Abington Hospital. She was a resident of Elkins Park.
A breast-cancer survivor, Manusov got involved in numerous organizations, and served as a speaker for groups such as the American Cancer Society, the Linda Creed Breast Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
She was asked to represent Philadelphia in Washington, D.C., for a national cancer walk, and was invited to the White House to meet Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, with women like her from throughout the United States.

A cheerleader in both high school and college, Manusov also found time for involvement in student government, serving as chair of Students Against Drunk Driving.
In addition, she volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House, preparing meals for families for many years. Even after she had surgery, she continued to volunteer, sharing her cancer history with families in similar situations.
