Gail and Robert Belfer of Cherry Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Arielle Sima Belfer, to Jacob Irving Wischnia, son of Janet and Eric Wischnia of Elkins Park.
Arielle is a graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy. She graduated with a dual degree from Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and cum laude from The Jewish Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts in modern Jewish studies. She received her master’s degree in childhood special and general education from Bank Street College of Education. Arielle is a special education teacher at The Shefa School in New York City.
Jacob is a graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science. He is the director of business development at CenTrak in Newtown.
Sharing in the couple’s happiness are Arielle’s brothers Joshua and Joel; Jacob’s sister and brother-in-law Naomi and Aaron Rosenthal; nieces Ariella and Noa; and Jacob’s sister Hannah.
Arielle is the granddaughter of Dolly and the late Sheldon Belfer, and the late Cantor Israel and Selma Dubner. Jacob is the grandson of Jerome and the late Anne Zaslow, and the late Helen and Jakob Wischnia.
An August wedding is planned in Philadelphia.
