A Real 'Hands-On' Test
June 17, 2010 The creative-arts competition honoring Mordechai Anielewicz -- who resisted the Nazis during the Warsaw ghetto uprising -- celebrates its 37th year. It's sponsored by the the Memorial Committee for the Six Million Jewish Martyrs of the Jewish Community Relations Council, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and other local outlets. Area schools encourage students to participate as a hands-on component to their studies about the Holocaust.
