Evelyn Lennon
Imagine all the people who come to see you on screen. No fantasy for lovely little
Evelyn Lennon, who plays "Baby Susie Salamon" in the now-out movie, "The Lovely Bones." The lovely lass of 5 -- she shot her part two years ago -- is no stranger to the land of make-believe; she's the niece of
James and
Roe Lennon who run the Actors, Models and Artists Talent Agency in Jenkintown. "Stars" already sent in his head shot.
Wonder if Cozen O'Connor attorney Justin B. Wineburgh got a chance to see
the movie? No doubt he's up on his films: Wineburgh has just been named to the board of the Philadelphia Film Society. Hope he looks good in sunglasses. /p
Welcome home, Melissa Broder; welcome home. No, "Stars" isn't standing in for an episode
of "Extreme Makeover," but offering a salutation that the poet should be expecting in swarms.

Debbie Einhorn
The Bryn Mawr native will hit
local turf when she offers area readings of her first book,
When You Say One Thing but Mean Your Mother, the weekend
of Feb. 12, including -- how sweet! -- a hearty Valentine's Day
appearance at the Raven Lounge in Center City. But will she save a seat for Poe?
On a Twain twist of what Sam Clemens might have written, had he attended the 2009 World
Series, here we have a Philly in a Yankees court: Jonathan Greystone of Philadelphia's Spector Gadon & Rosen legal eagles has been reappointed for another stint on the special committee
on procedures for judicial discipline for the State of New York.
An apple for the teacher? An honor for the teacher! Debbie Einhorn of the Fort Washington Elementary School has been named one of the top 10 (don't look for this on Letterman) annual National Liberty Museum/State Farm "Teacher as Hero" Awards.

Leslie Kimmelman
And, no, upon receiving the award, she wasn't seen chewing gum.
Leslie Kimmelman will visit Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park in March just prior to Passover to sign copies of and take questions about her new book for kids, The Little Red Hen and the Passover Matzah. "Stars" has his question ready: Is her title the secret formula
for egg matzah?
Blog this! Shari Shapiro's "Green Building Law Blog" -- currently on
maternity leave, Shapiro's in the environment group of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP -- has
just been named one of the ABA Journal's "Blawg 100."
Paging JPS! The Jewish Publication Society, with headquarters here, took no quarters in winning entries in the 2009 National Jewish Book Awards, just announced and to be handed out March 9 in New York. Illustrative of the best of the best is the JPS Illustrated Children's Bible, Ellen Frankel and illustrator Avi Katz, named winner of the Louis Posner Award for "Illustrated Children's Books." Also taking it in chapter and verse for "Jewish Family Literature": Celebrating the Jewish Year: The Spring and Summer Holidays: Passover, The Omer, Shavuot, Tisha B'Av, Paul Steinberg, Janet Greenstein Potter, ed; and Subversive Sequels in the Bible: How Biblical Stories Mine and Undermine Each Other, Judy Klitsner, taking home the Nahum M. Sarna Memorial Award. What better way to conclude today's column, and an
item on books, than with: The End.
