January 21, 2010 Zipporah (nee Bram) and Irv Segal will mark the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 24. Joining in the celebration will be their children, Tali (David Glatter) of Fort Washington; Ariel (Abby) of Dresher; and Doron (Jenifer) of Lafayette Hill; and their seven grandchildren. Zipporah grew up in Israel, and Irv grew up in Philadelphia; they met when Irv was in graduate school. Zipporah earned three of her four advanced degrees during their marriage. After their first child was born, the couple moved to St. Thomas, where Zipporah was a medical social worker for St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John, and Irv was a social worker in the school system. They returned to the area, had two more children, and raised them in Melrose Park. Recently, the couple moved to an active retirement community in Warminster.
