Rose Patrice Miller of Charlotte, N.C., and Dr. Jonathan Alan Planer of Gastonia, N.C., were married on July 25 at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte.
Rose is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Fred Miller of Charlotte. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Irving Miller of Highland Beach, Fla.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pysher of Bangor, Pa.
Dr. Planer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Planer of Gastonia. His grandparents are Rev. and Mrs. A. Douglas Aldrich of Charlotte; and Mrs. Mary Katherine Planer Rollins of Gastonia; and the late Harold Planer, also of Gastonia.
Rabbi Judith Schindler of Temple Beth El in Charlotte officiated.
Kristin Bongaard was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Vivian Resnik, Tara Mills, Jeanette Day, Jamie Kimble, Caroline Mueller, Whitney Bradshaw and Mary Beth Beckner. Samantha Winig read a poem at the ceremony.
The groom's father, Geoffrey Planer, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Zach Hauser, Wesley McKellar, Neil Suggs, Christopher Planer, Brent Winig, Justin Winig and Matthew Solomon.
After a honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, the couple lives in Gastonia.
